Town of Deerpark Joseph Brant Bus Tour
Saturday—July 19, 2014
Tours begins and ends at the Sparrowbush Fire House, Main Street, Sparrowbush, N.Y.
Meet at 7:45 am (Coffee and ...)—Bus Leaves at 8:00 am.
The tour will include: the July 20, 1779 route taken by Joseph Brant and his Tory Raiders as they burned and looted the valley; re-enactors relating detailed events; visit to Mahagkamik Cemetery; colonial cooking at Fort Decker.
$6.00--Adults $5.00--Seniors $4.00--Children under 12 years (must be accompanied by an adult)
A box lunch will be available at the end of the tour for $3.00 – Choice: Turkey Sandwich or Peanut & Jelly Sandwich plus a bag of chips, grapes, and bottled water. To learn more about this historic event, travel to the Battleground at Minisink Ford, Barryville, N.Y. for programs which will be presented July 19th and 20th.
